You might want to take a look at the menu before asking for what we serve, and as soon as our manager decides to effectively write one your efforts to click the link will surely pay off. Until then I am sorry to inform you that you will have to manage on your own for a little. However, we are pleased to disclose our full-time information desk for any questions that might come up!

    artsja:

    funnification-is-not-a-word:

This week, millions saw this dramatic photo of a gay man beaten by neo-Nazi extremists in Kiev, Ukraine.  It’s shocking, but the anti-gay movement doesn’t stop there.  As early as this week, Ukraine’s legislature is expected to vote in favor of new laws that will make it illegal to be gay or lesbian in public.

President Viktor Yanukovych is the only person with the power to stop the law in its tracks, but he has stayed silent as anti-gay sentiment grows. If he doesn’t speak out now, an entire generation will be forced into the shadows.

Here’s our chance: Ukraine has been trying to forge a “special alliance” with the European Union for years and this week an EU delegation focused on human rights will visit the country to advance the process.  If we create a massive outcry in the next 3 days across Europe, President Yanukovych will be forced to finally speak out against the law or risk endangering his lucrative EU partnership.

Will you add your name to the call - we don’t have much time:

Subspecies and Morphs of Brown Bear (Ursus arctos)

Because of their wide range, brown bears have adapted to different areas and subspecies often have very distinct looks. Even in a single region with a single subspecies, color can vary greatly from individual to individual.

    1. Kodiak  (Ursus arctos middendorffi) bears, especially females, can come in this vibrant orange shade. This is the largest subspecies.
    2. This grizzly (Ursus arctos horribilis) has a beautiful silver grey saddle contrasting with it’s nearly black limbs and lightly brown tinged head.
    3. An almost platinum blond grizzly female with light cinnamon limbs.
    4. A European brown bear (Ursus arctos arctos) with a sandy head perched on top of brown body with dark limbs.
    5. The ussuri (Ursus arctos lasiotus) is an Asian subspecies, often times black in color. This Chinese example has a jet black body, with a dark brown-black head.
    6. Another ussuri, it’s orange-brown halo and white chest marking pop against it’s dark coat.
    7. An Ininkari brown bear (Ursus arctos ?) from an area where this morph is unique; a creamy light upper half and blue-grey bottom. This one appears to have blue eye patches as well.
    8. This beautiful Himalayan  (Ursus arctos isabellinus) has noticeably large and furry ears. It might just be me, but I can almost see hints of lavender in it’s light brown coat where darker fur is mixed in.
    9. Even lighter, the Syrian (Ursus arctos syriacus) seems to be the most consistently light subspecies. Hardly brown, they all seem to be more of a creamy sandy color.
    10. The very rare Tibetan Blue’s (Ursus arctos pruinosus) dark morph is beautiful, and makes up for the lack of images for the light morph. A light orange-sandy head, white right around it’s chest and neck, and dark blue-grey body isn’t what comes to mind when you think “brown bear”.

Finished commission for Sapphira @ Subeta, her pet Intent.

Surprisingly fun to do, what’s with glass usually being a pain to render and all. I really had fun on this one, and I quite like how it turned out, too!

  • We stopped freaking out about the “Oh my god, women want to wear pants!” thing a really long time ago. Women wandered into the traditionally masculine realms of self-expression and ambition and now it’s just normal.

Not so with masculinity. It is still as rigid and well defended as ever, despite a few David Bowies or Johnny Depps in the mix. Just look at last year’s total freaking meltdown about a J. Crew catalog that carried a photo of a woman painting her young son’s toenails. Just look at the way the more delicate boys of the world are bullied by their classmates and accused of being gay. Just look at the gender imbalance in the diagnosis of Gender Identity Disorder in children, with gender disordered pre-pubescent boys outnumbering girls at a rate of up to 30 to 1. When a girl is boyish, or even claims she’d rather be a boy, it’s cute. She’s a tomboy. When a boy is girlish, wanting to wear dresses or try on some makeup, it’s a mental disorder and needs an immediate medical intervention.

  • By accidentally ramming my left thumb forcefully into very unyielding things on multiple occasions when I was still growing I actually permanently damaged the whole joint to the point where the joint of my left thumb is definitely more flexible than the one of my right one. It also hurts a lot more whoops.
The left side of the first joint of the middle finger on my right hand has traceable a dent from always supporting the pen I hold. Especially recently the spot has become quite sensible.
Both of my middle fingers are slightly crooked towards the respective ring finger at the tip.
My ring fingers are longer than my index fingers.
